Over 170 people attended today’s event at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco, which featured a presentation by State Senator Mark Leno on the 2011 Campaign for Universal Healthcare Without the Insurance Industry.

Senator Leno’s remarks included:
- Somehow, someway, whether we do or referendum, this will be on ballot.
- We need to organize and build the grassroots movement to combat the insurance companies.
- Our job is to fight, educate, and win in California and pave the way for the rest of the country.
