We hope you can help advocate for single payer healthcare this Saturday at San Francisco’s Civic Center. We will be at the Green Party table from 10am to 6pm. We will be asking people to sign postcards to expand Medicare to everyone. This is important as President Obama wants to cut back on Medicare by raising the annual deductibles.
Our postcards to the President read:
“Dear President Obama,
Thank you for keeping the campaign for universal healthcare moving forward. Together, we can complete the task of insuring everyone has healthcare by supporting HR 676, the Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act. Please work hard to pass HR 676.HR 676 would spend resources wisely, whereas the health insurance bureaucracy wastes 31 cents of every health care dollar, HR 676 would deliver health care to everyone while the insurance industry attempts to avoid the sick, deny claims and pass expenses on to others”.
