It’s here!!!! S.B. 562, The Healthy California Act, full bill language was released last Thursday! Before we can win guaranteed healthcare to all Californians, it has to pass a vote coming soon in the State Senate Health Committee. The members of that committee need to hear from constituents ASAP. Join other Healthy California supporters to knock on some doors and spread the Healthy California message in key senators’ home districts!
Millions of Americans dodged the bullet of losing their healthcare coverage last week when the effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act collapsed. But there is still great insecurity and uncertainty in households throughout the country. We know that Paul Ryan and company will be back to try again.
Californians don’t have to just wait and hope for the best. The Golden State now has the opportunity to create a healthcare model for the whole country with S.B. 562, the Healthy California Act. The Act will establish a “Medicare for All” style program that would not only cover all Californians, but lower costs for families and businesses. And, it is the real alternative to the cruel path to pain offered by congressional leadership and the White House.
