Sept. 8: 50,000 postcards asked Arnold to be a man and sign the singlepayer bill

On Monday, September 8, representatives from Alliance of Retired Americans, California School Employees, Health Care for All, the Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club, California Teachers Association, League of Women Voters, California Nurses Association, and Single Payer Now demanded that the governor sign SB 840, the California Universal Healthcare Act. The legislature passed SB 840 on Sunday, August 31.

Sept. 26: Walk the Golden Gate Bridge for Single Payer Health Care

On Friday, September 26, join thousands of nurses, activists, and community leaders on the Golden Gate Bridge march for single payer healthcare. The march begins at noon at the “Vista Point” parking lot on the north (Marin) side of the bridge and ends with a rally at Crissy Field. Shuttles will be available starting at 11 AM to take people from Crissy Field to Vista Point.
