April 29th -- 6:30 pm SF Class: SB 810 The California Universal Healthcare Act

The purpose of this class is to learn about SB 810 "The California Universal Healthcare Act" which will bring singlepayer healthcare to the State of California. The class will be from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm on Wednesday, April 29th at 531 Grove Street in SF. SB 810 was approved by the legislature twice and vetoed by the Govenor twice under its previous name SB 840.  It has broad support in the legislature and was first introduced by then State Senator Sheila Kuehl as SB 840.  State Senator Mark Leno has taken the torch and is serving as the lead sponsor on SB 810.
