WHY PROP 85 ENDANGERS TEEN SAFETY

SAT 3PM SEPT 30 at 4760 MISSION, SAN FRANCISCO (1 block south of Ocean, 5 blocks from Balboa BART & MUNI, click for map)

  • Parents care most about keeping their teenagers safe. That means always safe, even if they feel they can’t talk to their parents about an unplanned pregnancy.
  • Parental notification laws cause young women to delay seeking medical care.
  • When desperate teenagers turn to back-alley abortions many will suffer serious injuries and some will die.

Groups in opposition to prop 85 include:

The California Federation of Labor, The California Medical Association, The California Academy of Family Physicians, The California Nurses Association, American Academy of Pediatrics-California District, The Adolescent Health Collaborative, Health Care of All, The League of Women Voters, and Planned Parenthood.

VOTE NO ON 85

Speakers:

Conny Ford, Secretary-Treasurer of Office Professional Employees International Union Local 3 and VP for Political Activities of SF Labor Council

Amy Moy, Director of Community Affairs, Planned Parenthood Golden Gate, SF Field Manager for No on Prop 85
