June 4: Rally in San Diego for Healthcare Minus the Insurance Companies
Join with the California Nurses Association, the La Jolla Democratic Club, Progressive Democrats of America, Single Payer Now, Health Care for All-California, Physicians for National Health Program, the League of Women Voters, and others in support of a national healthcare program minus the insurance industry.
The insurance industry is meeting this week at the San Diego Convention
Center. The insurance industry is the biggest roadblock to healthcare
reform. They are the people who brought us the term "pre-existing
condition". It is a term used solely by the American insurance
industry to deny care. They are in business to avoid the sick and
insure the healthy. That is good business for them, but bad health
care for America.
We support HR 676, the US National Healthcare Act, and In California we support SB 810, the California Universal Healthcare Act.
