Feb. 10, 2007 Meeting

by Robert Stephenson last modified 2007-03-13 10:07 AM

HEALTHCARE 2007
Schwarzenegger’s Plan for the Insurance Industry
vs.
Senator Kuehl’s Plan for the People

  • SB 840, the California Universal Health Care Act would save Californians $12 billion a year, while Arnold’s plan will cost us $12 billion.
  • SB 840 delivers great health care to everyone, while Arnold’s plan maintains the current inequalities where different classes of people receive different classes of care.
  • The Governor’s plan is a government-enforced, publicly funded subsidy of the wasteful private health insurance industry. SB 840 uses government to provide great health care for the people

Featured Speakers:
Dr. John Shearer, Co-Chair, California Physicians' Alliance
and
Carolyn Long, Social Worker, California Universal Health Care Organizing Committee.

Saturday, Feb. 10
3pm
at 531 Grove St., San Francisco

Sponsored by the California Physicians Alliance, the California Universal Health Care Organizing Project, and the California Universal Health Care Education Project
