Dec. 14: Healthcare Potluck

by Robert Stephenson last modified 2008-12-28 09:56 PM

Featuring a presentation by State Senator Mark Leno on the 2009 Campaign for Universal Healthcare Minus the Insurance Industry

Senate Bill 840, the California Universal Healthcare Act passed in both the California Assembly and Senate in 2008. 49 of the 120 legislators in Sacramento co-authored SB 840. Governor Schwarzenegger then vetoed SB 840 denying Californians a chance to spend our resources wisely for comprehensive healthcare. In 2009, State Senator Mark Leno will be the new principle author of SB 840 leading a supporting cast of millions of Californians. On December 14, enjoy our potluck and discover where you can help with the campaign for universal healthcare.
